How It Works   

To submit WCB claims, CLAIM MANAGER MT connects to MSP Teleplan claim processing system, which officially processes claims on behalf of the WCB.

After the MSP adjudicates submitted claims, it sends back an electronic confirmation, called remittance, with its decisions on the claims. If the claims are accepted, the remittance is accompanied by reimbursement.

EARLY REMITTANCE

Although practitioners can submit claims on ongoing basis, the MSP usually adjudicates them cumulatively and issues an adjudication remittance twice monthly.

However, sometimes the MSP can send therapists an early remittance. Usually it happens on the next day after a claim submission if submitted claims failed initial data verification.

Therefore, an early remittance can occur any day and will contain information only about rejected claims.

The typical mistakes causing early remittances include incorrect data format, empty mandatory fields, and invalid codes. To reduce this kind of omissions, CLAIM MANAGER MT verifies that all the mandatory fields are filled out, and all the data is entered in the right format.

TWICE MONTHLY REMITTANCE

Those claims that passed initial data verification go to the next stages of examination when the MSP looks for more imperceptible inconsistencies and for claims’ eligibility. They are adjudicated twice monthly.

Unlike an early remittance, the adjudication remittance contains information on both accepted and rejected claims. Depending on the grounds of rejection, some claims can still be corrected and resubmitted while others may not.

CLAIM MANAGER MT

CLAIM MANAGER MT ensures that all the WCB claims are prepared in the required electronic format and will be properly recognized and adequately processed by MSP Teleplan.

Because remittance can happen any day after a claim is submitted, CLAIM MANAGER MT keeps in constant touch with MSP Teleplan. Every time the program is launched, it automatically connects to Teleplan and requests updates. As soon as a remittance is received, CLAIM MANAGER MT decodes it, notifies the user, and updates the user's database.

In short, CLAIM MANAGER MT serves as a bridge between a practitioner and the electronic claim processing system and eliminates the need and extra cost of paperwork.

HOW TO USE

To use CLAIM MANAGER MT, a therapist needs to register with MSP Teleplan. The registration is free. For more info on the registration process, see Register with Teleplan. Note, that no registration is necessary if a Data Centre Number and Teleplan Login Name and password had already been assigned.
