.To move to a calendar picklist button use the Tab key if you go forward and Tab+Shift if you go backward. To activate the button, press the Enter key or click on it with your mouse pointer.
An activated calendar picklist button opens into a calendar where one of the dates is marked with a red oval.

You can operate the calendar with either the mouse or the arrow keys.
How to operate the picklist with mouse
The mouse is the most convenient way to deal with dates that are far apart from the current date because it is the most efficient tool to flip to a different month or a year.
To change the month, do one of the following:
- click the left arrow button 
to switch to the previous month,
- click the right arrow button 
to switch to the next month,
- click and hold your mouse button on an arrow to skip several months. Release your mouse button, once you see the needed month, or
- click on the current month’s name to see the list of the months opens. Click on the needed month.
To change the year
- click on the current year to invoke two additional arrow buttons 
on its right,
- click the up-arrow to increase the number of the year,
- click the down-arrow to decrease it, or
- click and hold your mouse button on an arrow to skip several years. Release you mouse button once you see the needed year.
If a month and a year are correct, click on the needed date with you mouse pointer. The calendar window will close automatically.
How to operate the picklist with arrow keys
The arrow keys are the fastest way to enter the date that belongs to a current month and year. To change the month or the year, use the mouse pointer.
To change the date
- press the right-arrow key to move to the next date,
- press the left-arrow key to move to the previous date,
- press the up-arrow key to move one week back,
- press the down-arrow key to move one week ahead,
- press Enter key to activate the date. The calendar window will close automatically.
To change the month
- use the right-arrow key to move to the first date of the next month to switch to the next month,
- use the left-arrow key to move to the last date of the previous month to switch to the previous month,
- use up-arrow key to skip one week back to reach the previous month faster,
- use down-arrow key to skip one week ahead to reach the following month faster.
To change the year
- use the up- and down-arrow keys to skip all the way to the previous or the next year.
